La Terra Saggia – our new place in Italy

Location

Beautifully situated in the hills, at 15 minutes driving distance from San Severino lies a small hamlet, a borgo. Click here to get an impression of the place. It’s in Italian style with a villa, a few smaller houses, a little church, a school, a swimming pool and a workshop for artists. Some buildings ready for us, others in rough construction with room for imagination and creative architecture. In addition, extensive farmland with olive and walnut trees, a little stream set in wild groves. A place ideal for our writing, creative and silent retreats. La Terra Saggia, that is how we call it. The wise earth, a new world is opening up to us.

Some comments about the place

‘Absolutely lovely – beautiful and inspiring surroundings, and I very much appreciated the “remoteness” of the retreat. I also felt really good in my room, it was huge and airy, and I loved that I had a nice view from my desk.  Overall, the accommodation was everything I could have wished for.’ Lisa R.

The place there in the Marches is really fantastic. The buildings and the way the rooms are decorated. Simple but with everything you need. The peace and sound of the birds the moment you wake up. In fact, everything is a source of inspiration.‘ Connie M.

Magnificent location in the Italian hills, with opportunities for beautiful walks and visits to San Severino.  The private room and bathroom were fantastic. The place  historically interesting.’ Marjolein B.

It is truly a retreat place. A retreat that allows you to do exactly what you came for. That is Artisa’s secret –.  And that makes me look forward to the next writing moment on site…’ Willemijn L.

‘A beautiful setting where the inspiration seems to bounce back from the hills around this authentic place.’  Yvonne M.
